Website Projects
My earliest foray into web design came in the early aughts when I would tie up the family phone line for hours, typing away at our beige-behemoth desktop computer. I’ve come a long way from my GeoCities days, and throughout my long career in marketing communications, I’ve developed and maintained many websites hosted on a variety of different platforms. Some I’ve built from scratch myself, and for others I’ve worked with vendors to develop custom solutions. Below are just a few recent examples of sites I’ve managed (besides this one you’re visiting now).
Platforms I’ve Used
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Drupal, Google Sites, Sharepoint, Squarespace, Weebly, Wix, Wordpress
PRISM
As part of a significant rebrand I led for the MCCIST/PRISM project team, I also coordinated the development of a new website. This website was an improvement over the previous MCCIST site as it added important functionality—a “members only” portal and increased security to protect intellectual property—and reflected an updated look and feel consistent with PRISM’s newly-established visual guidelines.
For this project, I worked closely with Boxcar Studios and their fantastic team of web designers. The result was a beautiful custom build (powered by Wordpress) that met PRISM’s unique needs.
Autism Toolkit
As a communications specialist supporting the Teaching and Education for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (TEAM) project, I designed this website to house educational resources developed by ASD experts. This is an early, iterative prototype of the site, and it will officially launch later in 2024 with full functionality, including a video library. Once complete, this online toolkit will serve an important purpose—educating health care providers about how best to support their autistic patients as they age out of childhood services.
Other Sites I’ve Managed Recently
Speech Neurophysiology Lab at the University of Michigan Medical School (Google Sites)
Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Medical School (Drupal)
LSA Scholarships at the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (AEM)
